Marathi actor Chhaya Kadam who was recently in cloud nine after getting ‘All We imagine as light ‘ winning at Cannes 2024 recently revealed that everyone teased her for dancing on the red carpet of the much celebrated international film festival.

She stated that someone from Mumbai called her and questioned her what was going through her mind when she decided to dance on the red carpet. He also said that at certain one the actor felt bad at some times when her name was ommit from the list of her accomplishments.
Chhaya recollects, “Once someone from Mumbai rang me up and said, ‘You were dancing as if you were in your own courtyard.’ I said ‘Why not?’..” Indeed, she can’t help but think, “Just to be in the main contest after 30 years is a great thing in itself, let alone the award that we won It do not need to stick to the protocol For the same can dance, hum apni khushi aise hi dikhaate hain, kood kood kar.

The actor also stated that as soon as she stepped out of a car after getting to the film festival, she heard the ‘Gulabi Saree’ song in Marathi language.
Apart from ‘All We Imagine As Light,’ Chhaya Kadam has also received quite a good verdict for her acting in Kiran Rao’s short film ‘Laapataa Ladies.’ Interacting with Hindustan Times, the actor let the media know about how at Cannes, his people knew him as Manju Mai from ‘Laapata Ladies’.
The actor who is now quite eager to get into something nice and good also recalled those days when even though she had a really important character in her movies, her name used to appear in the review of the picture. Before, those who write film reviews were left out on mentioning my name even if the character that I played was crucial in the film.
