Shilpa Shinde backed Asim Riaz in a new interview. She said other contestants picked on the former Bigg Boss star during Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Shinde pointed out that Asim’s co-stars pushed him too far causing him to blow up on the show. She believes they singled out Asim and tested his patience, which made him angry and upset. Shinde stressed that Asim wasn’t the only one at fault, and everyone played a part in the fight.
Shinde explained the situation: “Nothing happened. Water flows over your head. People should stay humble. One guy stands alone while the rest gang up and rile him up because they know how he’ll react. Not everyone can handle success. Everyone was wrong, everyone was right. I kept telling him to stay quiet and not argue” (People should be humble. Asim was alone on one side while others ganged up against him and provoked him. I kept urging him not to argue or speak out. They knew his nature and still bullied him. Not everyone can deal with success).
Shinde stood up for Asim’s actions, but she also pointed out that he could have taken a different approach to the show. She admitted that while Asim isn’t an aggressive person, his chatty nature and struggle to hold back his responses sometimes caused mix-ups. “He wasn’t aggressive, but he likes to talk… he wanted to share what he went through and how it hurt him. He has a habit of talking too much. We need to tell him to be quiet sometimes.”
Asim Riaz’s stint on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 came to a sudden end when the show kicked him out for acting up with host Rohit Shetty and other contestants. The trouble started during a task where Asim had a hard time and questioned if the challenge was fair. His clash with Shetty and a later dust-up with fellow contestant Abhishek Kumar got him booted from the show.
