Karan Johar Makes a Bold Statement in Gaurav Gupta at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Karan Johar style was an alluring choice at Vanity Fair’s star-studded Oscar Party-the event organized by Radhika Jones on March 2, 2025, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, CA. Karan arrived at the event in one such memorable Gaurav Gupta creation, with an aura of style and confidence, having made an entry already.
Going for an all-black wardrobe, Karan wore the stunning Serpentine Swan Tux, a Gaurav Gupta creation in rich black velvet. The tuxedo featured the hallmark metallic sculpted details of the designer, interfusing wing-like, swan-like, and serpent-like shapes draped in delicate chains for movement. That combination of firm structure with soft fluidity made for a stunning yet elegant look, yet a proud statement confirmed that Karan knows how to make strong red-carpet statements.
The ensemble was created by celebrity designer Eka Lakhani, who saw to it that everything complemented Karan’s subtlety and refinement. Infusing a quirky twist with his accessory wear, he wore a Tyaani Jewellery necklace featuring polki and diamond crosses as a bracelet. He finished off the look with spunky Balmain shades, drenching the entire aura with a suspension of drama and sophistication.
