Rajamouli Takes on Bollywood vs South debate At The Global State; Jr NTR Trolled For His Accent
Jr NTR trolled for his accent, netizens said he is trying too hard to fit in. while SS Rajamouli’s recent media interaction sparked the Bollywood vs Tollywood debate again.
A beautiful moment for M M Keeravaani winning the Best Song award for Naatu Naatu at the 28th Critics Choice Awards on January 15 and again at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards was hijacked with online trolling. Indians went on to argue about the quality of the song and suspected the skills of the music director of the song as he had produced far better originals that were far more entertaining than ‘Naatu Naatu’.
Debates are taking place questioning the nationalism of stars and whether it is offensive to define themselves as Telugu first. And finally, Jr NTR trolled for his accent on the red carpet in several interviews.
This is the latest in addition to the trolling that didn’t come from the west but from the homeland itself.
Speaking about the film and Nato Nato song Jr NTR said, “We thought, considering Rajmouli’s track record, we thought we had a winner. But this was something more than a winner in Japan and today, America… come on, you don’t expect this to happen ”. He further wished to bag a marvel movie and how his fans have been going berserk about it.
One of the trolls reminded me of Anil Kapoor whose accent also stimulates a lot of jokes from time to time.
A troller wrote, “He should have replied in a normal Indian accent. There is nothing wrong with an Indian accent. This “act” only pushes the notion that American and British accents are the only correct way to speak English.”
Woah! Jr NTR got the accent🔥😂 pic.twitter.com/YpM5Q0JDZ7

Bollywood vs Tollywood- ‘RRR is not a Bollywood film’
Interestingly, when he speaks Hindi, it is with some Telugu accent which is “fine”.

SS Rajamouli was also trolled for crediting Telugu cinema for the success of RRR and not associating it with Bollywood. Rajamouli recently attended the screening of RRR at the Directors Guild of America. While interacting with the media, Rajamouli addressed RRR as a ‘Telugu film’. He said, “RRR is not a Bollywood film; it is a Telugu film from the south of India where I come from. But I use the song to move the story forward rather than stopping the film and giving you a piece of music and dance. Just use those elements to move the story forward.”
He further added, “At the end of the film, if you say I didn’t feel like it for three hours, then I know I am a successful filmmaker”.
It is difficult for people to digest fame. Instead of taking the love and admiration that was bestowed on them by everyone humbly,it is said by them repeatedly that it is region specific and language specific. Why didn't they kept it in Telugu only? What was d need to dub?

Foreigners dancing and hauling at NATO NATO in the Chinese theaters proves that the content has gone beyond the boundaries. This is something one should be proud of. We caught up so well in fighting amongst ourselves that we never unite to celebrate our victories.
As per reports, the worldwide collection of RRR crossed over rs.1144 crores. Now, netizens are hoping to see RRR at the Oscars.
Description: While Bollywood fails to bring masses to the theaters, Tollywood has broken all the records by giving back-to-back hits. And SS Rajamouli directed RRR roared on the international platforms. Amid this Rajamouli and Jr NTR trolled mercilessly on social media.
