Filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, known for offering Monalisa, the viral sensation of the Kumbh Mela, a role, has been arrested in connection with a rape case. The bail application was rejected by the Delhi High Court.29-year-old Mishra arrested by the Delhi Police on March 30, 2024, following a very thorough investigation entailing intelligence and technical surveillance.

The location of arrest was Ghaziabad, a place where Mishra was found residing, although his initial home was in Mumbai with his family. The police of Nabi Karim apprehended the film producer and summoned him to court in the capital. The case involves a 28-year-old woman from a small town who says that Mishra had raped her several times during a time span of 4 years.

According to the complainant, she went to Mumbai for becoming an actress. She claims she had been in a live-in relationship with Mishra there, and during that time, he took advantage of her and raped her repeatedly. Eventually, she decided to file a police complaint, after which the FIR was registered against the filmmaker.

The police acted swiftly so that after the Delhi High Court declined to grant bail, he would not have time to evade the law.
