Emily in Paris: Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris has been Officially Released
Emily in Paris: This time, Lily Collins embarks on romantic and professional escapades in a new location - Rome, which is quite different from France.
Emily in Paris: Picked up where it left off
The second part of Season 4 of “Emily in Paris” arrived on Netflix on Sept. 12 and could surpass the initial episodes with Emily’s exciting new escapades in Rome alongside a new romantic interest. The two parts share a similar narrative, yet have distinct differences as well. Emily is conflicted between two men, two cultures, two states of mind on all fronts – but the final five episodes intensify the situation, increasing the complexity of her predicament.
Vacation in Rome
It is evident that with the introduction of a new country in the series Emily in Paris, the plot is bound to veer in an unforeseen direction. Emily perceives Paris as being more organized, which aligns well with her natural ability for scheduling and coordination. However, Rome is likely the environment necessary for her development – to decay over time, while still retaining a sense of elegance and experienced knowledge. Now that she has experienced a romantic moment in front of the Eiffel Tower, perhaps it’s time to relax and appreciate the imperfections in the Colosseum. Gabriel is very dedicated to his work, while Marcello is a driven entrepreneur with a relaxed approach to life, a lifestyle that intrigues Emily.

Picked up where it left off
Darren Star ramps up the pace from where part 1 left off. Wrapping up those unfinished details requires a whole episode, but it doesn’t seem boring because of the visual diversity. During Christmas time, Paris resembles a fairy tale setting. Emily and Gabriel skating on thin ice serves as both a sign of what’s to come and a comforting embrace we’ve been craving for the holidays, marking a familiar beginning to the four seasons we’ve lived through.
Balancing work and personal life
Emily’s dilemmas now go beyond relationships with men and also involve the blending of her work and personal life. One goal that Emily is definitely striving for is to become an expert in the language like she has absorbed the culture of a place. Following Gabriel’s assertion that their lack of communication is due to her language limitation and his closed-off attitude, she ensures to download an Italian course on Duolingo while romancing Marcello. Transforming into Emily in Rome is essentially a shift in her genetic makeup, as well as that of the series. Similar to how Rome wasn’t built in a day, the show displays potential by not getting comfortable and continues to evolve as a vibrant, captivating project in the making.
Season 4 part 2 of Emily in Paris can now be watched on Netflix.
