Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh performed for a packed crowd at the Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati on Sunday. The highlight of the evening occurred when the actor-singer honored Dr. Manmohan Singh, the ex-prime minister who passed away on Thursday (December 26) following a long illness. Only a few days after the country mourned the loss of this respected political leader, Diljit dedicated the entire show to him.

Diljit’s tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh

Diljit honored the late leader in an Instagram video, commending him for being a humble and elegant person. “Agar main unki life ki journey ki taraf dekhu, toh unhone itna saada jeewan jia hai,” Diljit contemplated the honorable life and profession of Manmohan Singh.

Diljit Dosanjh further stated, “Agar unko kisi ne bura bhi bola, toh unhone kabhi ulta jawaab nhi diya. Halanki politics ke career me ye sabse mushkil kaam hai”, (No matter how poorly someone treated him, he always refrained from responding. Nonetheless, this represents the toughest aspect of a career in politics).
Additionally, Diljit highlighted that Manmohan Singh’s legacy is firmly embedded in Indian history as the first Sikh whose signature appeared on currency.

Diljit shared a video from his concert on his social media account with the caption, “Today’s Concert is dedicated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji DIL-LUMINATI TOUR Year 24,” the singer touched the hearts of his followers with his touching homage.”

About Dil-Luminati Tour

On December 31st, Diljit Dosanjh will take the stage in Ludhiana to conclude the Dil-Luminati tour in India. During his time in India, he launched his tour in Delhi in October and proceeded through Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Indore, and Chandigarh.
