Diana Penty’s Sustainable Denim Moment: A Chic Reinvention with KH House of Khaddar at NYFW 2025
Diana Penty’s recent kick-ass outfit in denims took sustainable fashion to the next level. It was clear here that being eco-conscious could also mean being achingly stylish. Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Namita Alexander, her outfit represented the mantra: Revamped, Reused, and Rocking.
The eye candy of Diana’s look was a deconstructed denim skirt that was designed by KH House of Khaddar-an established fashion label of none other than the legendary film-making actor, Kamal Hassan himself. The creative designer Amritha Ram led the way to the brand showcasing this sustainable piece at New York Fashion Week 2025 in January under Sutura, its Spring-Summer collection. The skirt, for the sustainable design piece, was constructed using old denim pieces from previous collections and showed KH House of Khaddar’s commitment to upcycled fashion.

To add grace to the avant-garde skirt effect, Diana wore a white ganji styled by Namita Alexander. The style, which is edged yet casual, adds freshness to the attire. Namita, who put the looks up on Instagram in sheer excitement stated, “How much denim is too much denim? There is really no such thing.” And we could not agree more. Eco-conscious glamour has just been put forth brilliantly by Namita with a look that spells innovation and sustainability.
Seldom do you find a Bollywood actor flaunting sustainable fashion in this regal manner, but Diana has a fresh take on it, which is absolutely inspirational. Such a striking outfit further bolsters the versatility in denim and defies stereotypes in mind concerning sustainability. The heavy, structured silhouette of the skirt, combined with casual but edgy styling, makes a statement that effortlessly reads cool.

Diana did further by complementing her look with flawless makeup and hair by Shraddha Mishra, and the trio clicked amazing pictures with photographer Saurabh Das. Such an effortlessly chic moment was executed well by Namita’s styling team, including Kudrat Anand.

Diana herself has also seen many further versions of this fabric. Last, she donned an all-denim look during promotion of Azaad, and this time again, she wowed everyone with a fresh pair of jeans and a remodeled denim jacket from Rewrite.
