Where do we as a society lack in uplifting but giving their place to women?
Ans- There is still a lot of work to be done in not just uplifting women but giving them their place. One major area where we fall short is the workplace. Climbing the career ladder, struggling to reach leadership positions, and women even get unequal pay. It’s essential to create an environment where women feel empowered, and girls have access to quality education.
How does separation of parents affect children and how do you take care of them?
Ans- Separation of parents can affect children in a very big way. When we decide to live apart, it can be very confusing for the kids, and they might wonder if that is their fault for the separation. Reassuring them and explaining that it is not their fault but because things didn’t work out between husband and wife is crucial. Children also go through a roller coaster of emotions, and it can be overwhelming, with a lot of anger at times. We should encourage them to share their feelings and give them their space and time to figure things out.
How important is it for women to be financially independent?

This independence is a superpower in itself, giving them the freedom to choose where to live, what job to pursue, and how much to spend. To be independent is a great confidence booster, fostering high self-esteem. Financial independence creates a more equal partnership, and you will always be respected for what you have earned for yourself.

What is your take on patriarchy?
Ans- While we may think we have come a long way in terms of gender equality, the reality is patriarchal norms still exist. It is very much present in our houses, societies, and workplaces. In my experience, patriarchy is that invisible web present in our relationships with our husbands, fathers, society, or at work. Requesting permission is a strong manifestation of patriarchy, be it from a husband, father, or senior male at the workplace. This dynamic is so deeply ingrained that we may not even realize it is happening.

What changes would you introduce if you were the Minister of Women and Child Development?
Ans-To foster an inclusive and empowering society that addresses issues faced by women and children, I would introduce comprehensive education reforms. The curriculum would challenge stereotypes and promote gender equality. I would empower girls with practical skills that help them secure employment. Additionally, I’d implement child health programs, especially for women going through domestic violence. Introducing programs to empower women as entrepreneurs and proposing legal measures to bridge the gender pay gap would be priorities. Strengthening laws against domestic violence would also be a focus.
Ans- Social media is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth in various ways, such as content creation and monetization. It’s a platform where you can showcase your skills if you are a writer, artist, or musician. E-learning and skill development programs, where you can access videos and courses to enhance your skills online, are valuable. Social media, especially platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter, serves as a powerful tool for networking and professional development. It allows you to build a brand and credibility, and for freelancers, professionals, creatives, or businesspeople, being on social media can greatly help reach a wider audience.
