Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2023: Pankaj Tripathi Says ‘No To Brutal Character Please’
Actor Pankaj Tripathi visited the 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2023 at the National School of Drama. Here is what he revealed!
New Delhi: The 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2023, a Theatre Festival organized at the National School of Drama by the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. Actor Pankaj Tripathi was the chief guest on the 8th day of the festival.

One of the ex-students of NSD and blessed with profound acting skills, actor Pankaj Tripathi graced the day by his presence. Mr. Tripathi gave various insights about his upcoming projects and became nostalgic about his good old days.
The Criminal Justice actor feels that the film industry’s future is in the right hands, and they are working their fingers to the bone to tune their acting skills. But he was tight-lipped about season 4.
Talking to the OWN reporter, Tripathi talked about young actors and actresses.
When asked about the statement of veteran actors Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta saying, “We have to work on our bodies, and youngsters have to work on their acting,” He defied it.
The NSD alumni also revealed that he does not wish to do any role or character which involves violence. Also, he has said ‘NO’ to brutal characters and other such roles that go against his ethics.
On the professional front, the actor will be next seen in Mirzapur season 3, Main Atal Hoon, and Fukrey 3.
Under the allied event segment of the 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2023, the ‘Director’s Meet’ session was scheduled with the director of ‘Jasma Odan’ (Bhavai), Pranjivan Babubhai Paija, writer of ‘Kissa Maujpur ka’, Jayvardhan, director of ‘Maya Bandhoki’ (Khan Palagan), Sourav Roy and actors of ‘Raaz’, Prafulla Tripathi & Ashish Tiwari at NSD premises.

A Bangla play, ‘Ek Mancha Ek Jiban,’ was staged at SRC Auditorium, New Delhi. This masterpiece is by Soumitra Mitra, an avid lover of Fine Arts.
‘Isi Din isi Waqt’ portrays the story of people struggling to find their true identity in the era of virtual reality. Kumar Sohoni, an alumnus of the National School of Drama, Delhi, directed the play.
The play ‘The Dice of Desire’ deals with human desires. It explores the desires of women characters of the Mahabharata – the desires of love, ambition, power, education and ambition for their children. Ramanjit Kaur is an International award-winning Theatre and Film Actor, National Vice President of the Arts Leadership Council, Women Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) and founder of The Creative Arts Academy, India.

A 6-Day Theatre festival was also inaugurated on Tuesday in Kevadia, Gujarat. It will commence from 21st till 26th Feb 2023. A Gujarati play, ‘Once More- Desi Gujarati Opera‘, directed by P S Chari followed the inaugural ceremony.
Plays like ‘Botala Bhuta (Bottle Ghost)’, directed by Debananda Nayak, ‘Kojagori’, directed by Kaushik Chattopadhyay, ‘LIB (Let It Bother)’, directed by Aliyar K., ‘Solitude (Ekantham)’, directed by Sreejith Ramanan, and ‘Silence’, directed by Soma Giri were staged at Guwahati, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Nashik, and Jammu, respectively.
