Ananya Pandey is getting trolled on social media as she was spotted smoking a cigarette at her cousin’s wedding. A picture and a video are getting viral on social media where she can be seen lighting a ciggy and taking puffs.
Recently, Ananya Pandey attended the wedding festivities of her cousin Alanna Panday. Alanna is all set to tie the knot with beau Ivor. The haldi, sangeet, and mehendi ceremony of the couple was held yesterday with many Bollywood faces appearing to attend the pre-wedding festivities. From Suhana Khan to Palak Tiwari, here’s a look at celebrities who attended the ceremonies of Alanna and Ivor McCary.
Several Bollywood stars graced the pre-wedding festivities and photos from the same are making rounds on the internet.
At the haldi ceremony, Ananya opted for a beige-pinkish lehenga set with embellishments for the festivities. The Liger actress also shared moments of var-vadhu from the event smeared in haldi.
According to reports, the pre-wedding ceremony was also attended by Shibani Dandekar, Anusha Dandekar, Suhana Khan, Gauri Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Kim Sharma, Alvira Khan, Dia Mirza, Palak Tiwari, and Atul Agnihotri, among others.
For the Mehendi ceremony, Ananya wore a light pink lehenga set with a dewy makeup look. Ananya seemed straight out of a fairy tale!
However, the fairy tale soon turned into a nightmare for fans of Ananya when they saw their cute-baby-faced actress holding a cigarette and taking puffs.
In the viral video, Ananya is seen standing in a corner and smoking while the wedding guests gathered to celebrate the union of Alanna and Ivor. The video and pictures were shared by one of the guests from the ceremony. And he deleted the post soon after realising the mistake.
However, by that time reality had hit hard on the social media user, the video went viral like a bushfire. Netizens took a screenshot and trolled Pandey mercilessly on the internet. Some even labelled her a ‘passive smoker’.
It seems that Ananya’s fans are a bit upset after knowing that she smokes. A user wrote, “Meri Ananya aise nahi ho sakti”. Others wrote, “Dimag toh nahi hota in logo ke pass. Sirf cool dikhana hai.”
“Crap, I didn’t know this. She is that beautiful and has such cute lips, can’t believe she is a smoker. Dang”, another user wrote.
However, many also defended Ananya and suggested not to shame her for smoking just because she is a woman.
A user wrote, “I personally hate cigarettes and its smell. But if someone smokes it’s their choice bas mere samne mat karo… I start coughing very badly.”
Another wrote in support, “She’s an adult. She isn’t forced to smoke, she decided to do it. What happens or doesn’t happen with her body is up to her. Many people smoke, she’s one of them”.
Well, Ananya came along with her parents, Chunky Pandey and Bhavana Pandey. The ceremony took place at Sohail Khan’s home, with Helen and Salma Khan attending it.
It would be interesting to see if Ananya will come out in her defence or just ignore the trolling.
