Ananya Panday Turns Heads in a Regal Baingani Punit Balana Saree with Embroidered Halter Blouse at the Star-Studded Kesari 2 Premiere in Mumbai

Ananya Panday is on top of the fashion world, and she has now made her latest appearance at the red carpet even more glamorized. She brought elegance and glamor to the premiere of Kesari Chapter 2 in Mumbai after being announced as a new global ambassador for Chanel. The very young fashion star, who have demonstrated an impeccable taste for Indian couture, pulled off a rich, regal outfit inspired by the traditional aesthetics and with a modern twist to it.

Ananya sported a classic baingani (purple) silk drape from Punit Balana’s Johari collection. Styled by the ever-dependable Priyanka Kapadia, this is no ordinary drape. But it is unique in that it boasts of an intricate marodi and mirror work border, which shone bright under the spotlight. Baingani is a brave yet highly sophisticated choice, and it was what made her stand effortlessly out of the bunch of who’s who of Bollywood.

The blouse really elevated the look. Rather than the usual cuts, Ananya opted for a halter neck style made from silk organza and embroidered with matching marodi and mirror work. Unique in its own way, this blouse gave a very contemporary touch to her desi attire, creating an edgy and fresh vibe that complementing modern-day weddings.

Jewellery was kept simple yet impactful. Ananya sported artistically crafted pearl earrings by Jay Sagar, further enhancing the sophistication of the outfit. Her glam game was subtly sunny—makeup artist Riddhima Sharma Khubchandani went for a summer-friendly look and kept the natural shine showing through. Ending the make-up was a cute, chic bun with a side tendril—a nod to classic Bollywood hairstyles that never really fade, especially during wedding season.

Ananya later posted a wonderful reel on Instagram with glimpses of her look as well as her excitement before the screening. The video captured the mood of the playful girl and served as the perfect appetizer to the magic that was to follow on the red carpet.

Apart from the glitz of the night was Ananya, sharing warm words with the veteran actress Kajol, who, too, among the waiting throngs, looked perfect draped in a Surily Goel creation. The Kesari Chapter 2 premiere was an event filled with stars, with Akshay Kumar walking in with wife Twinkle Khanna, stunning in an eye-catching Payal Khandwala ensemble. It also included some of Bollywood’s hottest rising stars and stalwarts- Karan Johar, Suhana Khan, Shivari Wagh, R Madhavan, Tiger Shroff, and many more.

Not just setting an annual fashion standard for all premieres, Ananya’s saree look is also worthy of being a mood board for anyone sorting out summer wedding plans. The embroidered halter blouse could also be mixed and matched with a lehenga or sharara for an effective mehendi or sangeet look.

With her graceful presence, stunning outfit and warm vibe, Ananya Panday has yet added another feather in her hat proving that when it comes to style and charm, she is heads and shoulders above almost everyone.
