Mahboob Vin Basha from Anantapur Wins MasterChef India Telugu, Secures Rs 10 Lakh Prize
After a thrilling season of ‘MasterChef India Telugu’, the prize went to Mahboob Vin Basha from Anantapur with the much-coveted title and a cash reward of 10 lakhs with him. Thus, the further results, the final were held on June 7, 2024, and the finale was broadcast on SonyLiv, becoming a memorable day for Mahboob and his fans.
Mahboob’s run on the show mainly stemmed from the love for pastry and the personal desire to transform his father’s kebab cart into an acclaimed upscale restaurant. Brilliance that marked him out as a wise and highly skilled cook got the approval of both the judges and the viewers. Other contestants he had competing with him were other stars such as Jasween Kaur, Shyam Gopisetti and Ravi Prakash Chandran who were also in the final four. Nevertheless, Mahboob received this honorable title due to the combination of Pavement Tradition cooking with spices and techniques borrowed from the newer restaurant trends.
This triumph carries immense meaning for Mahboob while celebrating his family’s passion for cooking. Mahboob returned to MasterChef India Telugu to fulfill his father’s dream of having an even more successful Kebab business after his death. His hard working ethic in refining his culinary skills and his unorthodox cooking methods displayed his passion to rise above the root from ordinary tradition of his parents.

Mahboob also thanked the judges and contestants saying that they were very instrumental in assisting each other. It has also taught me you have to work very hard and never give up if you want to succeed. My story is written with an intent of encouraging others to chase their dreams and make some enchantment in their own kitchens. ”
