Yesterday, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot and are officially husband and wife. The two were married on July 12 in an elaborate wedding that included members of family, friends, and Stanford University classmates as well as numerous recognized personalities in the society. It was grandeur in every sense of the word, held in the Jio World Convention Centre, in Mumbai, and for the Ambani family, nothing but the best would suffice.
This might be one of the most significant episodes in India of the year, Chairman Anant Ambani’s marriage to Radhika Merchant took a considerable amount of time to happen, finally, modern society witnessed it. There was a lot of JOY displayed in the varmala ceremony where the couple exchanged flowers/ garlands laughing all along with cheers from the friends and family members. Several celebrities were present during the occasion, such as Isha Ambani Piramal, the sister of Anant, and Radhika’s sister, Anjali Merchant Majithia.
Of this simple yet beautiful bride, the choti Ambani bahu, the pretty Radhika Merchant looked stunning in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla creation. The varmala ceremony was next and later, a common Ponkhnu ceremony was performed in which Radhika’s mother, Shaila Merchant, brought Anant into the mandap.
The invitee list included top notch international personalities and Bollywood actors, including Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Samsung Electronics heir Lee Jae-yong, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone among others. There was provision for large chunks of the Bandra Kurla Complex to be closed down to allow easy flow of the complex for the distinguished guests who made the occasion a memorable one.
Anant Ambani, the youngest child of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, and Nita Ambani, married Radhika Merchant and the wedding was as grand as anyone could have imagined. It was speculated that the ring ceremony was held in April during a three-day celebration in Delhi but the official event started in March at the Reliance House in Jamnagar where Rihanna and Diljit Dosanjh performed.

Further festivities included recreational trips aboard a yatch in early June before they engaged in a week long celebrations that included cremonial rites and colorful performances. The groom’s family organized a musical event with Justin Bieber, and also had a haldi ceremony, mameru, mehendi, and a Shiv Shakti pooja, ending with the big wedding. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding is more than just two people getting married; it’s a memorable event known for its size, beauty, and the love that was present.
