Alia Bhatt shared on her Instagram stories a snippet of her exercising with the help of her trainer Sohrab Khushrushahi at the gym. To illustrate, in the video she is found doing her workout routine of weighted hip thrusts with her trainer watching her form. She used the caption, ‘Sundays are for leg day.’ In the previous week, Alia Bhatt paid much attention to her legs exercises. She involved in the weighted hip thrust, an exercise that helps in the pulling of the largest muscles in the body, the gluteus maximus besides the hamstrings, quadriceps and adductors. Alia followed through the exercise by lying on a bench without a backrest, placing a barbell loaded with 20 kg weights on each side across her hips and performing thrusts through engaging her glutes and following through a movement that made the barbell move upwards. From the video clip she performed the exercise up to four cycles of the exercise.

Overhead hip thrusts are arguably one of the most popular exercises as they are useful in enhancing the numerous components of fitness and health.
