Alia Bhatt Shines in Mustard Kurta and Braided Hair with Exquisite Accessories at Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani’s Star-Studded Mehendi Ceremony

 

Alia Bhatt recently visited the mehendi ceremony of Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani in the traditional Punjabi way, bringing along with her the class and elegance which are so distinctive of her style. She was joined by her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and mother, Soni Razdan. Before heading into the celebration, the three of them were spotted at the venue taking pictures for the media, oozing with elegance and grace.

Alia wore a bold mustard kurta with delicate mirror work, styled by Anushka Khanna, on the special occasion. Her sleeveless short kurta was accompanied by a gorgeous bandhani gharara, adding to the traditional and modern charm of the outfit. A decorated stole added to the grandeur of the look further. The strategically placed mirrors and studs on the kurta supported Anushka Khanna’s timeless good embroidery technique, giving the dress a sophisticated and trendy look.

Priyanka Kapadia, celebrity stylist, designed Alia’s mehendi look, ensuring she got each aspect just right. The purple edgy pop done to her hairstyle was one of the most standout features of the look. Her locks were styled by celebrated hair stylist Amit Thakur into a chic boho-chic bandhani braid, a glamorous and playful version of the traditional hairstyle. To finish off her hairstyle, celebrity makeup artist Puneet Saini designed a flawless makeup look with light, shimmery hues that highlighted Alia’s natural beauty.

Accompanying Alia, designer Anushka Khanna stated, “It’s been incredible dressing Alia Bhatt as she has progressed from being a young ‘student’ to the powerhouse that she is now. I feel blessed that she opts to wear Anushka Khanna on special occasions such as these. Our bandhani ribbon is the ultimate accessory piece, bringing charm and adaptability to the look.”

Boling beauty to the outfit, Alia adorned her look with AMARIS Ruby Connect earrings. These classic jewels had pastel rubies, more than 11 carats of diamond and glittering polki, and AMARIS’ iconic uttrai work. Over 30 carats of beautiful rubies were encrusted within a gold background, which created the earrings a vintage yet fashion-forward charm. The subtle infusion of style and tradition in accessories provided an extra oomph to her look.

To finish her look, Alia paired the outfit with a stunning hand-beaded bag from The Pink Potli. She opted for the Dancing Daffodils mustard yellow potli, which features delicate floral patterns executed in sequin petal and cut dana leaves. The velvet potli was also embellished with hand-beaded tassel latkans, which added a retro touch to her outfit.

Mehendi ceremony saw a galaxy of stars in attendance, with Bollywood’s biggest and brightest stars such as Jaya Bachchan, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bhavana Panday, Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, to name a few, rubbing shoulders with Bhatt. The effortless beauty of Alia Bhatt and chic presence made the actress one of the highlights of the evening by easily merging tradition with vogue fashion sensibilities.
