Adnan Shaikh Responds to Backlash Over Restricting Wife’s Wedding Photos: “Nazar Lag Jaati Hai,” Addresses Family Dispute and Sister’s FIR

influencer and Bigg Boss OTT contestant Adnan Shaikh tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Ayesha, on September 24. The reason I didn’t want to use my wife as some sort of content on social media like everybody else, Shaikh defends his reason for locking up his wife behind curtains. “Parde mai rakhna chahata tha ussey. Nazar lag jaati hai, and nazar bahut buri cheez hai. I don’t care about the trolling.”

Matters turned worse when Iffat, Shaikh’s sister, filed an FIR against him for physical assault. The FIR also accused Ayesha of changing her religion from Hinduism to Islam before marrying Shaikh. Her original name, the FIR claimed, was Riddhi Jadhav. Shaikh denies all this and says that the disputes between the families actually began when his sister’s husband demanded a flat be built for them.

Shaikh shared that he has been estranged from his sister for years. “I didn’t go to her wedding, and she wasn’t invited to mine,” he said. With family drama aside, Shaikh sticks to what he believes: the choice to not keep his wife’s privacy is comparable to his belief in “nazar” and personal values.
