Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt’s Love Story: A Connection Beyond Stardom, Built on Kindness and Understanding

Aamir Khan, Bollywood’s perfectionist, love came from one who was enticed by his real self and not his on-screen charm. His girlfriend Gauri Spratt recently revealed what drew her to him for real-it was nothing about his iconic performances in films like 3 Idiots or Dangal. Unlike most of Aamir’s admirers, Gauri isn’t a Bollywood buff, having seen only two of his films. So what made her interested?

A pre-birthday celebration was light-hearted where Aamir presented Gauri to media persons, and the couple shared their relationship that sounded like a sequence of an absolutely charming love story. Aamir admitted how their love story had begun 25 years when they first met and eventually lost touch. Fate would cause them to cross paths again two years ago. “I was looking for someone with whom I could feel at peace; someone who brings calmness into my life. And then, there she was,” said Aamir.

Gauri also spoke candidly about what she wanted in her partner and why Aamir stood out from all the rest. “I wanted someone kind, a gentleman, and someone who truly cares,” she shared. And Aamir teased her in his usual witty manner when he said, “And after all that, you chose me?”

Gauri chose Aamir, not because of his movies but because of his personality. When the media asked her which Aamir Khan movies she liked, she promptly said that she hadn’t seen many. Aamir cleared up, “She grew up in Bangalore and was exposed to different kinds of films and arts. Hindi cinema was never a significant part of her life. She’s probably not seen much of my work.” Gauri claimed to have watched Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan, although several years ago.

Interestingly enough, Gauri doesn’t even see his stardom. “She doesn’t see me as a superstar but as a person, a partner,” Aamir said with a smile. Gauri, on the other hand, made their relationship much more personal and least affected by Bollywood’s glitz and glamour.

However, Aamir has this one conditional request- Gauri should watch Taare Zameen Par. He insinuated that they might just view it together inside the big screen with the film’s re-release as part of his Cinema Ka Jadugar festival.

Gauri, who hails from Bangalore, has a fascinating journey to tell as well. She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who used to own and run a salon in the city, has made her name in Mumbai now as well. Her LinkedIn profile suggests that she currently runs a BBlunt salon in the city. Besides this, she is also a mother of a six-year-old child, adding even more sunshine to her story.

Aamir and Gauri have known each other for 25 years, but they have been officially engaged for 18 of those 25 years. This love story shows that real relationships can stand on understanding, kindness, and peace not just fame and admiration.
