It is one of the unseen times when a cricketer will be playing the lead role in any film.

Yuvraj Singh
If people love cricket, they can’t afford to not love Yuvraj Singh. This Indian cricketer was one of the finest all-rounders of his time and is even widely credited for his contribution to winning the World Cup 2011. But even before he became a well-known face in cricket, the cricketer performed as a child actor in a Punjabi Film in 1992. The name of the film was ‘Mehndi Shagna Di‘. His shot from the film, where he is in a school uniform is quite famous.

S Sreesanth
Well, this cricketer actually has a filmography. The Kerela cricketer, who has served as a bowler in Indian Cricket Team has performed in several films and shows. The films include ‘Ansakr 2’, ‘Cabaret’, ‘Kempegowda 2’ and ‘Team 5’. He has generally seen regional films in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam language.
Ajay Jadeja
A five-year ban perhaps made him try his hands on acting. Ajay Jadeja is a former cricketer who was alleged of match-fixing and hence was banned for five years when he tried his hands at acting, alongside the Bollywood actors, ‘Sunil Shetty and Sunny Deol in a drama film, ‘Khel (2003)’. He played the character of Rohan, who is framed for murder and convicted but then, the case actually reopens. He has had an amazing dance sequence and even a good screen time in the film. Though, the film was not taken well by the audience and the critics.
Salil Ankola
While Salil never remained to be a very popular face in Indian cricket as he just played a few international matches, the sportsman has been a face in cinema. He has at least eight appearances in films. the names of the films/ shows he has worked in are Kora Kagaz (TV series), Kurukshetra, Pitaah, Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, Silence Please…The Dressing Room, Riwayat, Tera Intezaar and The Power.
Vinod Kambli
A star in International Cricket, Kambli is definitely one of the legends Indian Cricket has known. His career as an actor was with the crime thriller, Annarth (2002) with Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty. He plays a character called Bandya, a criminal gang member. He has got a decent screen time too, in the film.
Sandeep Patil
Sandeep Patil is a Bombay-based Cricketer, well known for his appearances in the film ‘Kabhi Ajnabi Thé (1985)’, ‘Dombivli Return (2019)’ and ‘1983 Cricket World Cup (1983)’.
