There is no doubt, that the controversial reality show enjoys massive popularity amongst the viewers across the country. On one hand, the show has proved to be a stepping stone for many, at the other, it has helped many celebrities to regain the popularity and be relevant in the media houses. Today, we will look at 10 such contestants whose life changed after they became a part of Bigg Boss.
ana Khan
Sana Khan was the finalist in the 6th season of Bigg Boss. She was a model and actress long before she came into Bigg Boss. But Bigg Boss gave her the popularity which helped her bag some big deals in Bollywood. She was recently seen in the Hotstar Special, Special Ops. Earlier, she had played a role in Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho. However, the actress recently announced that she is quitting the entertainment industry.
2. Manveer Gurjar
Manveer Gurjar, a Noida farmer was the winner of the tenth season of Bigg Boss. Manveer is probably the most famous commoner of Bigg Boss. The tenth season had started the participation of common Indian people in Bigg Boss for the first time. It was really remarkable of Noida-based farmer, Manveer Gurjar to win the trophy amongst other celebrity contestants. Before, Bigg Boss, Gurjar had no chance for the spotlight, but after winning the trophy, his destiny changed.
3. Arshi Khan
Arshi Khan joined Bigg Boss 11 as a celebrity contestant as she was a model. She was popular even before she stepped into Bigg Boss but it was nowhere what she enjoys today. She is considered to have a very entertaining presence in the Bigg Boss house due to her many antics and her loudness. Her popularity increased so much that she became the second-most searched entertainer of 2017, in terms of Google search. Needless to say, Bigg Boss changed Khan’s fortunes for the better and made her a more recognizable presence in the entertainment industry.
4. Sapna Chaudhary
Sapna Chaudhary was popular in her home state Haryana when she joined the Bigg Boss 11 in 2017. But Bigg Boss helped her become a nation-wide phenomenon. Sapna won hearts of people across states with her terrific dance moves, and amiable and outspoken nature. Post Bigg boss, she has made appearances in many music videos.
5. KRK (Kamaal Rashid Khan)
Kamaal Rashid Khan, mostly known as KRK took part in the third season of Bigg Boss. He is probably the most controversial figure to join the reality show in the history of Bigg Boss. He was the first contestant to be prematurely kicked out of the house because of his behaviour. He used that popularity gained by the show and started his own Youtube channel. His mannerisms and controversies always keep him relevant in social media.
6. Amit Sadh
You might know Amit Sadh for his many movies like Kai Po Che, Sultan, Gold, Shakuntala Devi, Super 30 and many more but you are missing that the talented actor first rose to fame with the first season of Bigg Boss. After the Bigg boss, he went on to participate in other reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Nach Baliye.
7. Monalisa
Monalisa, the Bhojpuri actress rose to fame with Bhojpuri movies. But her fame was limited to Bhojpuri audiences. Bigg Boss gave her the platform to establish fame in front of the whole country. The Bhojpuri actress took the opportunity very well and made her stint very entertaining. She kept the limelight on herself by apparently getting close to Manu Panjabi and marrying boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, while in the house. After the exit, she is continuously sizzling on screens with her movies and television projects.
8. Nora Fatehi
The dancing sensation of the country, Nora Fatehi joined the Bigg Boss as a wild card entry in the 9th season. She was hardly known amongst the audience before the Bigg Boss. Although, she wasn’t able to make a stir in the house, but she gained popularity there. Now, she is one of the best female dancers in the country. She has been making it big with her dance performances in many super hit songs.
9. Manu Punjabi
Another commoner in the list is Manu Punjabi. Manu Punjabi, a Jaipur lad managed to made impact in the Bigg Boss which had many famous names from the entertainment industry. The popularity gained during the show has helped him to establish his own YouTube Channel Main Manu Hoon, where he chats with celebrity guests and commoners.
10. Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone is probably the most-benefitted celebrity from Bigg Boss. She was hardly a force in India but the Bigg Boss gave her a platform to announce her arrival. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt visited the Big Boss house and offered her a role. This marked entry for Sunny Leone and now she is a very familiar face in the Bollywood industry.
