1. Vivek Ramaswamy steps up attack on Biden administration as he joins Trump supporters at ‘sham’ NY trial:
As other Republican leaders and possible vice presidential candidates arrived in New York to attend former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial for hush money, which is now in its fourth week, Indian-American Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy joined the former president in Manhattan court on Tuesday. In an additional display of GOP unity, US House Speaker Mike Johnson, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, US Representative Byron Donalds, Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., former President Eric Trump’s son, and Republican National Committee (RNC) co-Chair Lara Trump arrived in court alongside Ramaswamy, a former Republican challenger who is now a devoted supporter of Trump.
2. Govt. extends ban imposed on LTTE for five years:
Since the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) “continues to foster a separatist tendency among the masses” and because its affiliates “enhance the support base for the LTTE in India, and particularly in Tamil Nadu,” the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has decided to extend the ban on the group for an additional five years. This decision has implications for the country’s territorial integrity. In compliance with the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, an anti-terror law, the MHA declared the LTTE an unlawful association.

3. Turnout in Srinagar shows it was right to revoke Article 370: Amit Shah:
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was interviewed in Varanasi by The Hindu’s Nistula Hebbar about how he sees this Lok Sabha election unfolding as it moves north and into eastern Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Shah conveyed his assurance that the BJP would secure a stable, majority-led government. He pointed to the increased voting rates in the Kashmir Valley as evidence that those who had predicted Kashmir’s alienation from India after Article 370 was repealed in 2019 had been proven wrong.
4. PM Narendra Modi has Rs 3 crore assets, and owns no land or car:
According to his election affidavit submitted on Tuesday along with his nomination from the Varanasi constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has total assets of over ₹3 crore but no land, house, or vehicle. PM Modi stated in the affidavit that his total assets were valued at ₹3.02 crore, with the majority of those assets coming from a ₹2.86 crore fixed deposit with the State Bank of India. He has ₹80,304 in two bank accounts in Varanasi and Gandhinagar, along with ₹52,920 in cash.
