“The man described the entire story, including every little detail, without hesitating and showed no remorse. He didn’t seem to be regretting anything,” the officer told the agency.

Sanjay Roy was found to be a porn addict by the CBI probe. The conclusion was reinforced when the police in Kolkata discovered multiple pornographic materials on his cell phone. The CBI has gathered enough evidence during the course of the inquiry to establish Sanjay Roy’s attendance at the crime site. He mentioned that on August 8, at approximately 11 a.m., Roy was spotted close to the chest department ward based on the CCTV footage that was taken from the hospital.

“On August 9, at around four in the morning, footage captured him reentering the same building. That was supported by certain technological and scientific findings, the speaker claimed.

The CBI has not commented on the potential of gang rape in the Kolkata doctor rape case as the probe continues. In an interview with PTI, the CBI officer refrained from commenting on the persistent rumors that this case did not involve gang rape. On August 9, RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata discovered the body of an on-duty physician in the hospital’s lecture room.
