Woman IAF Officer, Squadron leader Arshita Jaiswal attacked at her residence on July 17 2023
Arshita Jaiswal held the esteemed rank of Squadron chief within the Indian Air Force and served diligently at the Pathankot air base in Punjab, India. Her dedication to her duties and responsibilities made her a respected and valued member of the force.
On July 17, the Indian Air Force (IAF) officer sustained injuries after being attacked by the mess worker, employed at her house in Pathankot district of Punjab.

The accused attacked her a couple of times with a sharp weapon. She was attacked at Air Force Station Pathankot last week and died while undergoing treatment at Command Hospital Western Command Chandimandir (Haryana), the police said.
She died during the operation at around 6:30 pm on Saturday, as per Senior Superintendent of Police, Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh.
Efforts were made to save her life and was taken to the command clinic of Western Navy Command in Panchkula, Haryana, for a crucial surgery. A group of skilled surgeons and neuro-experts laboured tirelessly to try and heal her wounds. But, inspite of their efforts, Arshita could not overcome her injuries, and on Sunday, July 23, she succumbed to the tragic incident.
The accused got into the officer’s house to commit robbery, police said.
The accused attacked her multiple times with a sharp weapon. She had intense injuries on her head, they stated.
On the basis of the CCTV photos, the Pathankot Police had arrested the accused on July 17.
