Waqf Board Scam: After 6 hours of investigation AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan arrested by ED
Amanatullah Khan, AAP MLA, stated on Monday morning that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had been to his residence with the intention of arresting him. Amanatullah Khan claimed in a video message shared pn ‘X’ that the investigation team only wanted to harass and imprison him. After the agency stormed his home and interrogated him for six hours, he was arrested. He was taken into custody under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The 50-year-old MLA faces charges of money laundering in response to two FIRs: one from the Delhi ACB for alleged asset possession, and another from the CBI about alleged irregularities in the Wakf Board. Since he was last questioned in the matter in April, Khan has reportedly avoided at least ten ED summons, according to sources. The news was originally announced by the legislator and his party, with Khan announcing on his X Twitter at 6:29 AM that an ED team had arrived at his Okhla area home to take him into custody.

Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and a number of other AAP Leaders criticized the government of the BJP at the national level, alleging that authorities are pursuing those who have voiced their opposition to the ruling party.
Saurabh Bharadwaj, a minister in Delhi, also stated that the Central government was “misusing” the investigative agency. According to Bhardwaj, the BJP government is attempting to put more pressure on the AAP ahead of the Delhi Assembly election.
