It has drawn attention within the transport department with specific regards to the functioning of the automated traffic enforcement system in the state. As per the Regional Transport Office, the system basically works with an automatic built-in feature for fining any vehicle found speeding or violating any traffic rules or any car that is missing certain documentations like fitness, pollution, and insurance certificates.
The actual cause of the challan given to Chirag Paswan’s vehicle is not known even to the media till date. But it is rumored that it was unpaid because of exceeding warranted speed as the car was moving from Patna to Champaran. It is, however, important to note that Paswan’s has distanced his team from the fine asserting that the fine has no relation to the minister whatsoever.

CCTV cameras have been installed in the state, especially at toll plazas and they can capture the number plates of the vehicles that pass by. This system which has been implemented on the 18th of August, has certain in built features that automatically look for the compliance of traffic rules by a car.
