How Ujjain Brothers Transform Army Plane Into 5-Star Hotel With Luxury Amenities, Pool & Spa for Tourists and Devotees Visiting Madhya Pradesh

The hotel business is highly competitive, requiring constant innovation, unique offerings, and strong marketing to attract guests. Ujjain, a city known for its religious significance, is about to witness an extraordinary venture in hospitality. Two scrap-dealers, Virendra Kushwaha and Pushpendra Kushwaha, have purchased a BSF cargo plane to convert it into a five-star hotel, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors.

Even before Ujjain’s first airport opens, the BSF cargo plane will arrive in the city, not for travel purposes, but as a luxury hotel. This initiative aims to cater to both residents and the steady influx of tourists and devotees visiting the city, especially those coming to see Baba Mahakal or for the Simhastha 2028 festival.

The brothers purchased the plane through the BSF tender process for approximately Rs 40 lakh. An additional Rs 5.5 lakh was spent to transfer the aircraft from Delhi to Madhya Pradesh, where it will be permanently stationed on their property. The plan is to convert it into a five-star hotel by next year, combining the charm of aviation with modern luxury.

Virendra and Pushpendra Kushwaha are no strangers to innovative projects. They had previously acquired a helicopter, but this venture represents a larger and more ambitious step in the hospitality and tourism industry. Pushpendra shared that the idea for this transformation was inspired by airplane-themed restaurants in Haryana, including Runway 1 in Ambala and Flight of Dreams in Gurugram. These venues blend aviation aesthetics with luxury dining experiences, motivating the brothers to bring a similar concept to Ujjain.

“Our inspiration also comes from Operation Sindoor. Through this hotel, we aim to honor the army and convey a positive message to visitors,” Pushpendra Kushwaha said, emphasizing that the project will maintain a military-themed ambiance while providing top-notch comfort and luxury.

Guests at the airplane hotel can expect high-end amenities including a pool, spa, and a fully designed interior by professional decorators. Virendra Kushwaha explained that the plane’s interior will be designed to maximize space, creating multiple luxurious rooms. Regardless of the exact number of rooms, the focus will remain on offering a premium and memorable experience.

The aircraft itself is impressive, capable of seating 55 people. It measures 15 feet in height, 70 feet in length, and 100 feet in breadth, weighing around 20 tonnes. While the Kushwaha brothers have previously dealt with military scrap, this is their first venture involving such a large-scale plane, marking a new chapter in their innovative hospitality projects.

This unique concept is expected to attract significant attention from both locals and tourists, providing a rare opportunity to experience a five-star hotel inside a military cargo plane. The combination of novelty, luxury, and devotion-oriented tourism is designed to make this project a standout in the competitive hotel industry of Ujjain.

By transforming an army plane into a five-star hotel, the Ujjain Brothers are not only redefining hospitality in the region but also creating a landmark destination for devotees and tourists alike. The project showcases creativity, dedication, and the ability to merge novelty with luxury, making it a potential trendsetter in India’s hospitality sector.
