A total of six people were killed in a road accident on the Jhansi-Mirzapur Highway No. 35 in Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place in the Chikrakoot region early Friday morning when a speeding Bolero vehicle crashed into a truck. Reports say that there were 11 people in the Bolero, six died on the spot and five others got injuries. The accident reportedly happened when the victims were returning from Prayagraj at around 5:30 am. Preliminary investigations reveal that the accident was due to the negligence of the driver of the Bolero.

The injured passengers were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The authorities said that the families of the dead have been informed, and investigations into the cause of the accident are being carried out. The tragic incident has caused an outpouring of grief in the local community, and the authorities are taking steps to ensure a thorough investigation.
In a similar tragic incident in neighboring Uttar Pradesh, five lives were lost in a road accident late Thursday night. In the Pilbhit district, a car carrying five people lost control and crashed into a tree. The crash occurred on the Tanakpur Highway in the Thana Nuria area. The victims, who were returning from a wedding ceremony, died on the spot. The police promptly reached the site and have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.

Soon after the accident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his condolences and ordered the officials to speed up the relief work. The local police have filed road accident cases and are working towards providing help to the families who lost their dear ones. Authorities are also probing to know the exact reason behind the mishap.
Both of these incidents throw light upon the alarming issue of road safety in India, where speeding and negligence by drivers are prime contributors to the death toll on Indian roads.
