The tragic death of 25-year-old Air India pilot Srishti Tuli leaves her family and community in a state of shock. Srishti had been found dead in her flat in Marol, Mumbai, on Monday morning. She had spoken with her mother and aunt just 15 minutes before the news of her death reached them. Her family says Srishti was cheerful, and she gave no indications of distress during those calls.

The Mumbai Police have arrested Aditya Pandit, a 27-year-old man alleged to have been in a relationship with Srishti, on charges of abetting her suicide. Srishti’s uncle, Vivek Tuli, has raised serious questions about the sequence of events, expressing disbelief over the suicide claims. “Police are saying she died by suicide. Then what did he do that pushed her to the edge? She cheerfully spoke to her mother and aunt. And 15 minutes later, she was dead. How did this happen? What did he tell her? What did he do?” he asked, adding that the family suspects foul play.

He thoroughly denies suicide and claims that it was an act of planning. He further added that she had the strength in her life to overcome all the situations, because of which she could complete her dream job, that of a pilot. Problems with Aditya Pandit He also quoted problems in the relationship of Srishti with Aditya Pandit who was said to be trained by her but did not complete the course. According to the family, Pandit was jealous of the success Srishti enjoyed, which caused harassment and abuse.
A Troubled Relationship
Reports suggest that Srishti and Aditya met two years ago during her training in Delhi and later started living together in Mumbai. However, their relationship was fraught with conflicts. Srishti’s relatives accused Aditya of harassing her, emotionally abusing her, and attempting to control her lifestyle. Allegedly, he forced her to stop eating non-vegetarian food and even insulted her in front of others for her choices.
According to police investigations, the couple often fought, and Aditya’s behavior significantly impacted Srishti’s mental well-being. A police officer revealed that Srishti was disturbed by her boyfriend’s continuous harassment, which might have contributed to her tragic death.
