Chandrababu Naidu’s shocking accusation that the Jagan Mohan Reddy-led former YSR Congress used animal fat instead of ghee in consecrated sweets called “Tirupati Prasadam” at the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati sparked a huge outrage. According to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the internationally recognized consecrated delicious Tirupati laddus include “beef tallow, fish oil,” and other inferior ingredients, as shown by test reports of samples sent from Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh responded to the announcement of the lab tests by saying that Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam’s reputation had been damaged by the previous government’s mismanagement. He went on, “We have warned that the misuse of God’s name will result in destruction. Our coalition, Janasena Telugu Desam, repeatedly opposed the YSRCP administration that was in power between 2019 and 2024. With the help of test data, we showed the subpar production of Tirumala laddus made with animal fat. The mismanagement of the previous government damaged Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam’s standing. To make up for previous errors, we have nominated a new EO. Officials are instructed by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to preserve the standard of prasadam. The state has been ruled by numerous CMs, but we have never witnessed a government like this.

Subba Reddy claimed that the TDP government has failed and charged Naidu with disseminating “fake news.” They disseminated fake information about the YSRCP before the elections, and they still do so today. They have failed in governance over the last 100 days, and in an attempt to hide this, they have raised this problem, Reddy added.
Reddy stated that they consumed 60 kg of ghee daily while under YSCRP control.”During our regime, procurement was done with improvements from 2014 to 2019.” Anil Singhal remained the Executive Officer under both our and their administrations. For naivedya, we need 60 kg of ghee every day. We have been implementing the use of organic products, such ghee, in TTD for the last three years. With the aid of sponsors, we purchase ghee from Rajasthan utilizing desi cows.”
