She was keen to remind everyone that in Congress’s treatment of its high-command leaders, she has experienced a glaring imbalance and said recalling how the party failed to hold even a single CWC after her father passed away last year in 2020. She expressed on her social media X handle: “Congress does not observe condolence meet either since those protocols were never observed with presidents.”. The Union Home Ministry, in response, clarified that arrangements had been made for Singh’s last rites at New Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat, and space for a memorial would be provided following due procedures. A Trust needs to be formed to facilitate the process, as stated in a late-night release by the ministry.
