Foiled Plot Uncovered: Cement Blocks Found on Ajmer Railway Tracks

Security Alert in Ajmer: Cement Blocks Discovered on Railway Tracks After Foiled Derailment Plot Linked to Recent Kalindi Express Incident in Uttar Pradesh
On Sunday night, what turned out to be a major security danger took place in Ajmer, Rajasthan in which two big cement blocks were found placed on railway tracks between Saradhana and Bangadh. The blocks measuring two quintals each were stacked at one-kilometer intervals, much leading to raising of alarm over a belief that the culprits intended on derailing trains.

The obstruction was promptly pointed out by Ravi Bundela and Vishwajeet Das of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) at 10:36 PM and the authorities were immediately informed about the same. That is why their actions were prompt and made it possible to avoid a major catastrophe. According to News18, in the event of the police arriving to the scene, the cement blocks were discovered off the tracks yet placed in a manner that placed them near tracks that trains could hve been moved off.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and DFCCIL conducted a search in the aftermath of the incident but no other instances of saboteurs were detected. This case occurred just a day after another daring escape on Sunday when the Kalindi Express which started its journey from Prayagraj to Bhiwani in Uttar Pradesh just escaped a major disaster. A gas cylinder on the tracks was hit by the train and the impact made the cylinder move about 50 meters away from the scene of occurrence near Munderi village on the division of Kanpur-Kasganj line.
The Uttar Pradesh Police have since arrested over eleven people for questioning in connection to the event, underlining the severity of threats towards railway systems in the area.
