One of the most well-known businessmen in India, Ratan Tata, was 86 years old when he passed away in a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday night. He was the former chairman of Tata Sons. N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, announced Tata’s passing and referred to him as a “friend, mentor, and guide.”

Tata had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai earlier in the week due to age-related issues, though the precise cause of death was not made public.

With his astute acquisitions and inspiring leadership, he built the Tata Group into a worldwide force, and his passing signals the end of an era for the company. Following the industry tycoon’s demise, a number of former Indian cricket players, including Rohit, also expressed their respects to Tata.
