U.S. announces submarine move to Middle East amid Israel-Iran tensions:

After conferring with his counterpart in Israel, Austin additionally directed the Abraham Lincoln strike group to speed its deployment to the area. According to a Pentagon release, “Secretary Austin emphasized the enhancement of US military force posture and capabilities throughout the Middle East due to escalating regional tensions and reiterated the United States’ commitment to defend Israel.”
