According to Ajay Rai, newly elected Uttar Pradesh Congress president, ‘Rahul Gandhi will contest from Amethi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.’

Both in 2014 and 2019, Ajay Rai fought as the Congress candidate in Varanasi but lost to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
