‘Attempt to Polish Failed Product’: JP Nadda’s Sharp Critique of Rahul Gandhi

In a recent criticism, BJP President J. P. Nadda claimed that as Rahul Gandhi pulls the strings of the Congress party, it has turned into a copy & paste party. Nadda argued that the Congress has incorporated all the alleged shortcomings of Mr. Gandhi by citing some recent incidents where some Congress leaders made shameful statements about PM Narendra Modi. Some of these abusive words include snake, scorpion, demon, pickpocket, and coward The personal attacks were directed towards Modi’s parents.

For instance, Nadda also pointed the finger at Gandhi for questioning his credentials due to the alleged motive of reservation and caste politics. He condemned Gandhi and given statements about his possible action of likely scrapping reservation for Dalits, backward classes and tribal people in India he alleged that Gandhi has prejudice against reservation policies for those sections of people.

In response, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter to the Prime Minister he has stated that what he called a series of violent and indecent comments on Rahul Gandhi. Kharge highlighted threats by different BJP leaders including those that advocated violence against Gandhi and those that equated Gandhi to past political assassinations. He also said that such behavior is unbecoming of India’s democratic culture which was established on ahimsa and democracy which means non-violent and respect to opponents.
Kharge asked the Prime Minister to set a better tone in the BJP and to promote legal action against hate speech to protect Indian democracy.
