PM Modi Inaugurates India’s First Vande Metro Connecting Ahmedabad and Bhuj: Key Routes, Timings, Features, and Affordable Fares Explained

It is noted that the first Vande Bharat Train is going to be launched today, September 16, by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, which will be another significant step in the development of rail transport in the country. This launch adds to the outcomes achieved through the Vande Bharat Express and authorities have stepped up the development of rail infrastructure across the nation. The Vande Metro service will run between Ahmedabad and Bhuj and will thus give passengers better travel options in terms of time and convenience.

Besides, the Vande Metro, PM Modi will launch new Vande Bharat Express on other important corridors like Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, and Pune to Hubballi. For instance, a 20-coach Vande Bharat Express on the Varanasi-Delhi route will be introduced soon due to a higher number of travellers.

Vande Metro Timings and Routes: The Vande Metro is planned to start its journey from Bhuj at 5:05 am and end at Ahmedabad at 10: 50 am and has a distance of 360 km and will hardly take five hours and 45 minutes. The train will depart at 5:30 pm from Ahmedabad and reach Bhuj at 11:10 pm on the same day.

Vande Metro Fare: The fare for the Vande Metro has been set at a meagre Rs 30 at its least. The fare of going one way, which is from Bhuj to Ahmedabad is likely to be around Rs 430 but not including GST. It will also come in selective series that commutable in weekly, fortnightly, monthly so it will be cheaper as compared to daily fares.
