Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh: Another promising shot is Manu Bhaker who will be partnering with Sarabjot Singh to fight for bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team category. Manu, who is already a celebrity, now gets the chance to be the first Indian to win two medals in the same Olympics session. Sarabjot Singh himself is a good shooter and has the talent and the capacity to perform well under pressure though he didn’t make it to the finals of single event. Combined together they are a strong pair to contend for a top three position.

Indian Men’s Hockey Team: Indian men’s hockey team is in a desperate need of a victory against Ireland after a drab draw against Argentina. Establishing a victory is crucial for India as the team finds itself in a competitive group with strong teams such as Australia and Belgium. The team must come back stronger and ensure they claw their way back into the Olympic games.

Satwik-Chirag: Badminton pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be in action after the withdrawal of their opposition in the preceding match. They will start as early as in the quarterfinals and try to establish a winning tempo before the decisive rounds. Tuesday will be a very important match for them in order to assert themselves as real contenders for medals.

Balraj Panwar: In rowing Balraj Panwar will be participating in the men’s singles sculls quarter final. The opportunity to win a medal in this category rests on Panwar’s shoulders since he is the only Indian rower in the competition. His past performances have been good, and another good display will help him reach other positions in the competition.
