Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, sent her sympathies to the families of the deceased in the train disaster in an X post. She also questioned the accident’s governance. One more terrible train mishap! The tragic results of today’s early morning Howrah-Mumbai mail derails in the Chakradharpur division of Jharkhand include numerous fatalities and a large number of injuries. “Is this governance, I ask you seriously?” she tweeted. “How long can we put up with this constant parade of fatalities and injuries on train tracks, this virtually weekly series of nightmares? Will the Indian government’s indifference never end? The Chief Minister expressed her sympathies to the bereaved family and her thoughts to the next of kin.
