On September 18, 25 coal-loaded freight train carriages derailed close to Vrindavan Road Station, obstructing three rail lines. As of right now, only one line is open for rail travel along this route, per Railways. The goal is to clear the other lines as soon as feasible, according to the railway officials. In order to prevent any disruption, Northern Railways has encouraged passengers traveling on trains scheduled to run on the affected line to confirm the operating status and their routes ahead of time.

Due to the accident of a freight train near Vrindavan Road Station in the Palwal-Mathura portion of Uttar Pradesh, the Northern Railway has canceled three trains and altered the routes of twenty-six express and postal trains that originate from several stations in Delhi.
A number of trains will remain temporarily cancelled or diverted as a result of the train derailment between Vrindaban Road and Ajhai Station on the Mathura Jn – Palwal Section of the Agra Division across NCR, according to Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, CPRO, NR, who released a list of the affected trains.
Several well-known trains have had their itineraries rerouted, including those between New Delhi and Hyderabad, New Delhi and Tambaram, Hazrat Nizamuddin and the Mumbai Bandra Terminus, Amritsar Jn and the Mumbai Bandra Terminus, Hazrat Nizamuddin and the Mumbai CSM Terminus, and Hazrat Nizamuddin and Jabalpur.
