An FIR has been filed against a Shinde Sena worker for spreading a fake letter allegedly from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) during the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024. This development comes amidst the ongoing election process, with the results scheduled to be announced on November 23, 2024.

The elections, held on November 20, 2024, saw various parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Indian National Congress (INC), contesting for the 288 assembly seats. The polls recorded a turnout of 65.11%, a 3.47% increase from the previous elections.

-Maha Yuti: BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction)
– Maha Vikas Aghadi: INC, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction)

The election results will determine the fate of the incumbent government, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who formed the government with the BJP after the 2022 Maharashtra political crisis .
