The Uttar Pradesh tourism department is all set to showcase the magnificent Mahakumbh 2025 at two of the world’s most prestigious international tourism fairs – FITUR in Madrid, Spain, and ITB Berlin in Germany. This initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a premier global tourism destination, highlighting its rich cultural heritage and the significance of the Mahakumbh festival.
The festival, scheduled to commence on January 13, 2025, and conclude on February 26, 2025, is renowned as one of the world’s largest religious congregations, held at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.
At FITUR and ITB Berlin, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department will establish thematic grand pavilions, showcasing the state’s diverse tourism offerings, with a special focus on Mahakumbh 2025. The pavilions will feature creative displays of the state’s handicrafts, artifacts, and initiatives like the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
To maximize global engagement, VVIP lounges will be constructed at both fairs, facilitating Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions. Promotional materials will be made available in multiple languages, including English and local European languages, to ensure a broader reach and effective communication.

The Uttar Pradesh government is leveraging the Mahakumbh 2025 to attract foreign investment, foster cultural exchanges, and promote sustainable tourism. By aligning the event with the “Brand UP” vision, the government aims to enhance the state’s reputation as a leading destination for international tourists. The success of the Kumbh Mela 2019 in Prayagraj has set a precedent for the upcoming event, with the state government leaving no stone unturned to make Mahakumbh 2025 a grand success .
