Kargil Vijay Diwas: PM Narendra Modi says ‘Pakistan uses proxy war to stay…’, warns terrorists
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that although Pakistan has failed in all of its evil endeavors in the past, it has not taken any lessons from its past. On the 25th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1999, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Kargil war heroes at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass and stated that Pakistan is still attempting to remain relevant through proxy warfare and terrorism.
I want to inform these supporters of terrorism that their evil goals will never be realized because I am speaking to them directly from a position where they can hear me today. With all of our might, our army will defeat terrorism, and the adversary will receive a just response, Modi declared.
In honor of the officers and men in the armed forces who gave their lives for the country, the prime minister placed a floral wreath at the Drass War Memorial. Following a nearly three-month fight on the frozen heights of Kargil in Ladakh, the Indian Army declared victory on July 26, 1999, marking the effective conclusion of “Operation Vijay”. The day is known as “Kargil Vijay Diwas” in remembrance of India’s military triumph over Pakistan.

In support of Agnipath, Modi stated that the program’s objective is to maintain the Indian Army’s combat readiness by keeping it youthful. “Unfortunately, some people have turned a delicate national security matter into a political point of contention. These are the same individuals who committed scams worth thousands of crores within the Army, weakening it,” Modi stated.
