As a senior leader of BJP he served as a trustee of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The first-hand contribution of laying Ram Temple bricks at Ayodhya in 1989 gave Chaupal the honor of being named “Pratham Kar Sevak”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted his condolences on social networks where he praised Chaupal for dedicating himself to Ram devotion and playing an essential role in building the Ram temple at Ayodhya. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in expressing sympathy about Chaupal’s death while reminiscing about Chaupal’s leading role at the Ram temple foundation event in 1989. Honorable leaders across various roles such as Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary joined other leaders who expressed grief over Chaupal’s death to praise his work supporting deprived communities.

Through his over 15 years in the Bihar Legislative Council from 2002 to 2014 Chaupal dedicated his life to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. His failed attempt to run for the Supaul parliamentary seat in 2014 did not diminish his important political influence. The January 22nd temple dedication of Lord Shri Ram Lalla became a key moment for the movement that Chaupal had played a vital role in establishing.

Throughout the nation politicians united to salute the memory of Chaupal after his passing by recalling his contributions to the Ram Mandir movement. His dedication to advocating for marginalized communities throughout history will remain eternal in the memories of people.
