J-K Terror Update: Anti-Infiltration Operation In Kupwara – 2 Terrorists Eliminated; Gunfight Underway
On Saturday, the army’s vigilant forces stopped an attempt to infiltrate at the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara area of Jammu & Kashmir, killing two terrorists. According to officials, the army killed two unnamed terrorists in the Gugaldhar region of Kupwara district after foiling an attempt to infiltrate from across the Line of Control.

The army’s 15 Corps headquarters in Srinagar announced on its X: “The security forces in the ongoing Operation GUGALDHAR have killed two terrorists. Stores fit for a war have been retrieved. Operation is under ongoing, and the area is being searched. In order to guarantee a seamless legislative assembly election process in Jammu and Kashmir, counterterrorism and infiltration efforts were stepped up in the hinterland and along the Line of Control.

Two days ago, Lt General Rajiv Ghai, the General Officer Commanding (15 Corps), said media that the security forces’ anti-terrorism and anti-infiltration operations could not be curtailed in order to maintain the current state of stability in the Kashmir Valley. While on patrol along the LoC in Kupwara on Friday, a landmine explosion injured two army personnel, a Havaldar and a Naik.
