The energy giant Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has contributed significantly to the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Prag Narain Mook Badhir Vidyalaya.
The Fortune 500 energy giant Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has contributed significantly to the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of Prag Narain Mook Badhir Vidyalaya, an esteemed Aligarh institution that has been teaching children with hearing and speech impairments. The administration of the school has graciously accepted this kind gift, which demonstrates IOC’s dedication to social welfare.
This school was established in 1967 with the support of Aligarh’s renowned social worker and advocate, Mr. Totaram Vidyarthi, starting with five differently-abled children. Subsequently, Mr. Shiv Narayan Agarwal, a leading industrialist and owner of Prag Oil Mills, contributed to the school’s operation. He registered the “Prag Narain Mook Badhir” school committee in his father’s name, Prag Narain, to manage the school, which continues to operate under this committee.
Enhancing Educational Facilities
The CSR initiative in addition to the enactment of the plan for the rehabilitation and improvement of the infrastructure and the instructional resources in the Prag Narain Mook Badhir Vidyalaya will be done by IOC. Through the substantial contribution of this aid, students are ensured of better learning conditions and resources, which in turn leads to a more accepting and encouraging learning environment.

This school is supported by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and is recognized by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and the Education Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In 2022, this institution was awarded the Best Institution in Uttar Pradesh. It is a matter of pride that the principal working here was honored with the State Award in 1999 and the National Award in 2001.
