Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam Respond to Co-Founder Susmit Sen’s Police Complaint, Express Confidence in Ongoing Legal Proceedings
The co-founders of the Indian Ocean band, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam, have issued a statement regarding the recent police complaint filed against them by the band’s former member, Susmit Sen. According to the two musicians, they only learned of the complaint through the media and have not even received a copy of the complaint from the authorities themselves.
The statement from Rahul and Amit support their concern that a related matter has been pending before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for more than one year involving the shareholders. They further stated that since the dispute is still pending in the NCLT, they were shocked that a police complaint was filed when they believed it involved the same matter pending before the NCLT.

Rahul and Amit reported their surprise through the statement, “We have recently come to know from media that a police complaint has been filed against us by Mr. Susmit Sen and Ms. Sunita Chakravorty. To the best of our knowledge we have not received any legal notice or copy of the complaint which has been filed at the police station.” They again emphasized that NCLT case is still on hence the filing of
The band members also asked whether the complaint was made with a view of putting pressure on the members of the band. ”Filing of a criminal complaint on what is evidently a civil law issue seems to be an afterthought and an attempt to arm-twist us into agreeing to illegal and unwarranted demands,” they said. However, both Rahul and Amit stated that they are ready to assist the police in their investigations for them to uncover the truth and believe that the complaints are frivolous and made with a wrong intention.

The complaint has been filed by Susmit Sen and it alleges criminal conspiracy, breach of trust and cheating and misappropriation of funds of the band among others against Rahul and Amit.
