Police in Greater Noida was on the lookout for a man and finally had him arrested. The police successfully apprehended a man named Keshav Kumar, wanted in connection with a weapon robbery case, after a brief exchange of gunfire on Sunday night. The Uttar Pradesh police reported that the accused fired at the officials during their patrolling, prompting the police to retaliate. Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida), stated that the police team received information about the accused’s presence in the area, leading to the encounter. Keshav Kumar was wanted for a gun robbery incident in 2021, and there was a reward of ₹10,000 for his capture.
Police Shootout, Accused Injured:
During the patrolling, the police attempted to stop Keshav, but he opened fire, resulting in a bullet injury. Currently, he is receiving medical treatment for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing to gather further information about the case and any possible accomplices.
Gangster Capture Success:
This incident comes after a similar encounter in May, where another gangster with a bounty of ₹50,000 was captured in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur following a firefight between the gangsters and a police patrolling team. The successful arrests demonstrate the police’s efforts to apprehend criminals and maintain law and order in the region.
