IAF Show Mishap: BJP Slam Stalin Govt For ‘Mismanagement’

Kovai Sathyan, the leader of the AIADMK, chastised Chief Minister MK Stalin for the IAF air show’s poor administration, which led to over 200 hospital admissions and five fatalities from extreme heat. The deaths were confirmed, according to Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian, who also mentioned that preemptive measures were suggested.

Speaking to ANI, he said,” When you have an incapable individual as your chief minister, his counsel of ministers would also be incompetent. He went on to say that although MK Stalin and his family enjoyed the entertainment, the public address system was unable to direct the populace. “It is a complete mismanagement…”

The extreme temperatures were the cause of five deaths. The extreme heat afflicted 102 persons in all, of whom 93 at first needed hospitalization. Five people—two at Omandurar General Hospital, two at Royapet General Hospital, and one at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital—were brought in dead, according to Ma Subramanian. Thankfully, things have gotten better; as of right now, there are just 7 inpatients left. The minister continued, “There are four at Omandurar Hospital, two at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, and one at Royapet Hospital.”
