On October 5, Haryana will have a single-phase election. There will be voting in each of the ninety assembly constituencies. Finalizing preparations for the important election is a joint effort by the Election Commission and political parties. October 8 is when the results will be announced.

Ranjeet Chautala, an independent candidate from Sirsa’s Rania constituency, was the state’s Power Minister before entering the race. After winning the seat in 2019 as an independent, Chautala worked for five years as a minister in the BJP administration. In the Hisar Lok Sabha elections, he lost despite the BJP’s support.

Sandeep Garg, a candidate from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s constituency in Ladwa, is one of the other well-known individuals facing action. Prior to Navin Jindal entering the contest, Garg was a serious candidate for the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat, but he dropped his candidacy.
Discipline has been imposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on its renegade leaders who have chosen to run independently against the party’s official nominees in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. The saffron party has taken a bold step by banishing eight of these leaders, including former minister Ranjeet Chautala, for a period of six years. This occurred soon after 24 party leaders were expelled by the Congress due to their disobedience.
A number of other leaders have also been expelled: Devender Kadian, Radha Ahlawat, Keher Singh Rawat, Bachan Singh Arya, Devender Kaushik, Navin Goyal, the state head of the BJP’s trade cell, and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Jileram Sharma.
