Haryana Election: BJP releases the first list of 67 Candidates, Nayab Saini to contest from Ladwa seat.
In preparation for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its initial list of 67 candidates on Wednesday. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be contesting for the Ladwa seat. Nayab Singh Siani served as the Naraingarh MLA in 2014, the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha MP in 2019, and the Karnal MLA in the 2024 by-election. The party has included eight ministers and seventeen MLAs twice on their list of 67 candidates. The BJP has also granted tickets to eight female candidates in its initial list. The List includes the names of Former home minister Anil Vij, former Haryana BJP president Om Prakash Dhankar, former speaker Kanwar Pal Gurjar, and former MP Sunita Duggal.

In the list, the names of Devender Singh Babli, Sanjay Kablana, and Shruti Choudhry are also included, who recently joined the BJP and will contest from the Tohana, Beri, and Tosham seats, respectively. The Haryana assembly elections are scheduled for October 5, and the vote will be counted on October 8. Nomination papers can be submitted by September 12 and withdrawals must be made by September 16.
Hours after the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) revealed its initial list of 19 party candidates in coalition with the Azad Samaj Party, the BJP announced its list. Dushyant Chautala, the current MLA for Uchana Kalan and a former deputy chief minister is set to run for office again. Four of the 15 candidates on the list were from the Chandra Shekhar Azad-led ASP, while the remaining 15 were from the JJP.
A three-way battle between the BJP, Congress-AAP, and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) is anticipated in this Haryana Election. Both the Congress and the AAP are doing hard bargaining in their discussions about seat sharing for the Haryana Assembly elections. According to Congress, an alliance with the AAP can only occur when both parties stand to gain.
